Power Industry

Williams is a leader in size reduction equipment within the Power Industry, including Coal Pulverizers for solid fuel combustion. Our Coal Pulverizers and Impact Dryer Mills are also an ideal choice for limestone prep systems for fluid bed combustors.

Pulverizers

Williams Roller Mills pulverize or granulate and air classify chemicals, minerals, coal, limestone, phosphate rock, pigments, tobacco, clay, and barite. Roller mills are also capable of drying with the addition of a heater. Williams Direct Fired Mills pulverize coal and petroleum coke fuel for direct firing into boilers and kilns.

Impact Dryer Mills

Our Impact Dryer Mills utilize proven technology integrated into a complete system that simultaneously grinds and dries, accurately classifies, and conveys materials in one continuous, automated operation. Some of the many applications for Williams Impact Dryer Mills include: drying & grinding by-product gypsum from power plant scrubbers for wallboard manufacturers; drying & grinding filter cake (as well as other finely divided agglomerates) to a fine, dry powder; reduce clays and other minerals, such as pigments, to extreme fineness; grinding coal to proper fineness for burning in suspension or coal gasification.

Hammer Mills

Williams manufactures a large variety of Hammer Mills as a part of our size reduction equipment line. These Hammer Mills are designed to handle virtually any size reduction job. Rugged machines provide the efficiencies and economies of midair, impact crushing, grinding or shredding of diverse materials. Shredders

Forest Products

Williams No-Nife Wood Hogs are proven performers in the forest products industry. Our size reduction equipment options include both top feed or horizontal front feed hogs. Both are of the same heavy duty rugged construction. Our rugged and self-cleaning Rotary Disc Screens can be used for the high-speed, consistent separation of oversized and undersized components. The new Chip Hog® is a revolutionary hammer mill with the heavy duty, high capacity features of a primary wood hog that also offers the fine-grinding capabilities of a secondary hammer mill. The Chip Hog® is often utilized for biomass applications.

Steel Conveyors and Apron Feeders

Steel Pan Conveyors are built to match the superior strength and long service life of Williams crushers, grinders, and shredders. The Apron Pan Feeder is a heavy-duty feeder with a cast manganese deck made with parts from the world's most popular crawler tractors for extra heavy-duty use. Our Feeder Breaker couples our manganese Apron Feeder with our Roll Crusher technology. This results in an extremely heavy-duty machine capable of conveying and crushing a wide range of minerals and frozen materials requiring crushing down to 6" and smaller.
